VC Authentication with OpenID Connect MATTR + British Columbia Government Secure Connections An adapter that extends OIDC to enable the use of VCs as a means of authentication.
Universal DID Resolver DIF + Danube Tech Secure Connections Software tool for resolving DIDs to obtain their DID Document, works with any DID method.
Universal DID Registrar DIF + Danube Tech Secure Connections Software for registering DIDs on decentralized networks, works with any DID method.
Credential Handler API (CHAPI) Polyfill Digital Bazaar Secure Connections + Secure Data A polyfill is a piece of software (usually JavaScript on the Web) used to provide modern functionality on older browsers that do not natively support it. This polyfill demonstrates how CHAPI can be used in a browser, until the point that CHAPI is natively supported by browsers like Chrome, Firefox, etc.
DID Test Suite W3C Secure Connections A confortmance test suite for decentralized identifiers created by the W3C CCG to get some basic metrics around existing DID implementations.
HTTP Signatures Test Suite W3C Secure Connections + Secure Data A confortmance test suite for HTTP Signatures created by the W3C CCG to get some basic metrics around existing HTTP Signatures implementations.
VC Test Suite W3C Secure Data A conformance test suite for verifiable credentials created by the W3C CCG to get some basic metrics around existing VC implementations.
VC Examples W3C Secure Data Open-source repository containing examples of different kinds of VCs for reference by the community.
Digital Identity Guidelines (NIST-800-63) Comments W3C Secure Connections + Secure Data A collection of the W3C Credentials Community Group's responses to NIST's Digital Identity Guidelines (NIST-800-63) Request for Comments.
Schema.org Schema.org Secure Data Open data vocabulary that can be used with linked data formats such as JSON-LD, RDFa, and Microdata.
DIF Interop Project DIF Secure Connections + Secure Data Open-source repository for continious technical demonstration of interoperability between DID Methods, Wallets, Agents, Encrypted Data Vaults, and Verifiable Credentials.
DIF Security Contexts for Linked Data DIF Secure Data Repository of Linked Data security contexts and schemas relevant to building software using JSON-LD DID Docs and VCs.
VC HTTP API W3C + U.S. DHS Secure Data Open API specification enabling any system to issue and verify digital credentials of different types, based on the VC data model.
Aries Protocol Implementations Hyperledger Secure Connections + Secure Data Various implementations of concepts and features defined in Aries RFCs.
Aries Interop Test Suite Hyperledger Secure Connections + Secure Data Respository of auditable open-source code which provides a modular test suite to make SSI interoperability publicly and objectively measurable.
Sovrin Hyperledger Public Key Registry + Trust Framework An open-source project creating a global public utility for self-sovereign identity. It consists of two major components: a public-permissioned ledger network based on Indy, and a Governance Framework managed by The Sovrin Foundation.
Known Traveller Digital Identity (KTDI) World Economic Forum (WEF) Secure Data A global consortium of individuals, governments, authorities and the travel industry working to enhance security in world travel. They are aiming to create a standard manner for accessing verifiable claims of a traveller’s identity data so they can assess their credibility, optimise passenger processing and reduce risk.
Verifiable Organizations Network (VON) British Columbia Government Secure Data Open-source community project built to establish a better way to find, issue, store and share trustworthy digital data about organizations locally and globally. Certain use-cases are currently deployed in BC Canada.
Pan-Canadian Trust Framework (PCTF) Canadian Government Trust Framework A comprehensive framework for establishing trusted digital identities and trusted digital services uniformly throughout Canada. PCTF helps to situate existing standards (both business and technical) and relevant policy, guidance, and practices in terms of the broader implications of applying these technologies at ecosystem-scale (both public and private).
electronic IDentification, Authentication and Trust Services (eIDAS) European Union Trust Framework An EU Regulation for signing/verifying digital signatures, initially proposed in 1999, that came into effect in 2016. It is the only existing framework that specifically addresses digital identity in the EU today. Work is ongoing at EBSI to bridge this regulation with new insights around blockchains and distributed ledger technology.
European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) European Union Public Key Registry + Trust Framework A joint commission between the EU and the European Blockchain Partnership to deliver EU-wide cross-border public services using blockchain technology. The EBSI will be materialized as a comprehensive trust framework as well as a network of distributed nodes across Europe that come together to form a European blockchain infrastructure.
european Self-Sovereign Identity Framework (eSSIF) European Union Trust Framework As part of EBSI, eSSIF is an open-source effort to build out the technical infrastructure necessary to utilize the benefits of decentralized identity in the EU (distributed agents, key management services, data services, etc). This framework allows users to create and control their own identity across borders without relying on centralized authorities.
