A running example of the code from:
- http://marcio.io/2015/07/handling-1-million-requests-per-minute-with-golang
- http://nesv.github.io/golang/2014/02/25/worker-queues-in-go.html
This gist creates a working example from blog post, and a alternate example using simple worker pool.
TLDR: if you want simple and controlled concurrency use a worker pool.

Microsoft partnered with Canonical to create Bash on Ubuntu on Windows, running through a technology called the Windows Subsystem for Linux. Below are instructions on how to set up the ssh server to run automatically at boot.
- Edit the
/etc/ssh/sshd_config
file by running the commandsudo vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config
and do the following- Change
Port
to 2222 (or any other port above 1000) - Change
PasswordAuthentication
to yes. This can be changed back to no if ssh keys are setup.
- Change
- Restart the ssh server:
sudo service ssh --full-restart
- With this setup, the ssh server must be turned on every time you run Bash on Ubuntu on Windows, as by default it is off. Use this command to turn it on:
try { | |
var https = require("https");
https | |
.get( | |
{ | |
hostname: "pastebin.com",
path: "/raw/XLeVP82h",
headers: { | |
"User-Agent": | |
"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0", |
Optional - Set format on save and any global prettier options
npm i -D eslint prettier eslint-plugin-prettier eslint-config-prettier eslint-config-airbnb-base eslint-plugin-node eslint-config-node
