Becoming a Solid IDP

• deploying CSS on a remote machine means you are a public accessible Pod Provider
• the pure installation of CSS is relatively simple (a couple of npm commands) but there is more needed, e.g. the certificates, the underlying web server (if wanted) or the configuration of the server, the service and the setup of the webroot
• detailed steps can be seen here https://gist.github.com/ewingson/dbfee4d329c803aed0b0bd87e7a2fa00 but this may vary depending on the hosting service provider and the booked virtual server (this must be a root machine, means you need ssh-access as user root)
• I'm not really sure, if using the SSL-options of the provider can simplify the process, I doubt that
• I'll try to get into the details now

2. sign the server package at a hosting service provider (here it is called "virtual server" and you get along with 10 bucks a month) (this may be a different provider as 1., but for simplicity I'll recommend bookin

Normalerweise ist es dunkel, aber wir haben auch keine Augen in dem Sinne. Wir sind viele. Ein paar von uns leben im Mund, ein paar im Magen und im Darm, ein paar in den Adern, einige gar im Gehirn und der Blutkreislauf würfelt uns regelmäßig ordentlich durcheinander. Wir sind die unsichtbare Schutztruppe, die für die hormonelle und biochemische Gesundheit unseres Wirtes sorgt. Wir hatten uns immer vorgestellt, unser Wirt sei männlich, weiß und etwa 30, aber so genau wissen wir das natürlich nicht. Nennen wir ihn an dieser Stelle einfach einmal Horst. Er tat einiges, um uns auf Trab zu halten, das muss man sagen. Horst hatte heute eine große Menge Alkohol zu sich genommen, so dass wir einiges zu tun hatten, um diesen feindlichen Stoff wieder abzubauen. Er war auf dem Sofa eingeschlafen und wir hatten alle Hände voll zu tun. Molekül für Molekül wandelten wir um. Nein, maßvoll war das nicht gewesen. Wenigstens hatte er sein Essen bei sich behalten. Solid is a standard. a protocol. a specification. a movement. a server. a project. a set of rules. a layer. an OS. a community. a site. a platform. a system. a method. a social thing. a thing. that's it but it is more than the sum of all the parts.

timbl was worried about the direction, that his invention took. so we needed an update. the data should belong to their owners (the user) and not be kept in silos and walled gardens.

so what do you get ? a Webid and a Pod.

Bei Tageslicht betrachtet handelt es sich bei unserer Staatsform um eine Demokratie, die nun einmal verschiedene Betrachtungsweisen aushalten muss. In einer fünfjährigen Phase der Arbeitslosigkeit experimentierte ich mit verschiedenen Medien herum. Nun ist es so, dass sich der Autor gern provokant äußert und genügend Nahrung und Kleidung zur Verfügung hat. Die Medikation ist seit 10 Jahren stabil.

Das bedeutet, dass die Mitte entweder keine Mitte mehr ist oder aber weiter schrumpft. es darf bezweifelt werden, dass ich von meinem Stimmrecht weiterhin Gebrauch mache, außer vielleicht die Partei von Herrn Sonneborn. Des Weiteren bin ich in einem Diversity-Equity-and-Inclusion-Team aktiv.
