After a nature photographer (Curt Howard) dies on assignment in Venezuela, a bug hitches a ride in his final commit to his Stash repo in AWS; the very same repo Dr. Ben Crouse (Matt Duffy) had just cloned with his work-wife, Molly (Eric Bigler), and young son (Chris Cressman). As Bamboo builds start failing, Crouse begins to suspect bugs, and must face his fears as he and the no-nonsense developer Delbert McClintock (Tom Scott) fight to stop a deadly CI apocalypse.

"In this first generation, the original male also produced a queen, and together they will construct a primary nest which the queen will guard. But eventually, she will create reproductive offspring of her own. And when that happens, this town is dead... and the next town... and the next town... and the next one, and so on."
