What is your greatest strength and how do you know?

According to the PAIRIN survey results, of the four types of categories in which specific skills are grouped, my strength was identified as Professional. The five skills and abilities that comprise the Professional category include initiative, leadership, grit, productivity, and accountability. Once determined to attempt something, I am highly reliable and typically proactive and diligent in accomplishing that goal through completion. My determination serves me well when faced with new challenges and setbacks along the way. I am motivated by the hard work required to be effectively productive. In group settings, I often play a supporting role, but can assume a leadership position when circumstances dictate.

What role does empathy play in your life and how has it helped you?

Although I would consider myself to be a kind and caring individual, my capacity for expressing compassion and being empathetic is something that I am continually striving to improve upon. Reflecting on my own self-awareness as it relates to understanding those qualities that define and influence who I am has strengthened my ability to understand the defining and personal characteristics of others. Simply being an active listener has improved my understanding of others, their desires and needs, and allowed me to establish personal connections and earn their trust. Incorporating feedback from others has also proved beneficial in understanding different perspectives. Overall, I feel more helpful and generous as a result of the empathetic interactions that I experience.
