  1. What role does empathy play in your life and how has it helped you?

Empathy lets me help others when I haven't yet taken the time to understand the problems they have. Having assistance with a more social problem greatly increases the chance of their resolutioin. Sometimes it's nice to know that somebody cares enough to listen to what you have to say. And In return, I get a sence of alturistic joy. Also it should go without saying, but when you are more empathetic towards others, they are usually more empathetic towards you.

2.How does empathy help you build better software?

There is a term called 'empathetic design'. What empathetic design means is going into an enviroment of a consumer, and understand their needs and thoughts on a product. Instead of assuming someone needs a product a certain way, you can talk to them and recieve a more accurate discription. This can also reveal future mistakes; in that, somebody might need something very different than what you had initially planned. This in turn sav

In a few sentences, explain what the project was and the scope of your work. Imagine explaining your answer to a technical recruiter or a developer who you’d potentially be interviewing with who knows nothing about Turing.
W2 Our week 2 project was to make a webpage that displays random and user generated covers for romance novels. It had functionality to save covers (both randomized and unser created), view a list of previous saved covers, and delete said covers if desired. This required three pages-e.g a home page where random covers could be accessed, a form page where a picture, title and descriptors could be input by a user, and a saved page where previous saved covers could be accessed, viewed and deleted. We also had functionality of several buttons for users to switch between pages, generate random covers, and generate user covers.
W4 During our week four at Turing we were given a project to make an intention timer. This is an app that lest users input their intentions, select a style (study, me

DTR Hang in there project
DTR: Define the Relationship
Use this template when conducting DTR with your project partners. It's recommended that you copy/paste this template into your own gist each time you conduct a DTR to take notes on the conversation.
Guiding Questions to Define The Relationship:
What is your collaboration style? How do you feel about pair programming vs. divide-and-conquer approaches?
We're going to do almost 100% driver-navigator.
How do you communicate best? How do you appreciate receiving communication from others?
Straigt up facts, man
How would you describe your work style?

Droup Dynamics Reflection
Our week four project was creating an Idea card generator. For this project, we were required to build the HTML and CSS layout and styles from scratch. From there we implemented the functionality of multiple button clicks through a click handler, and form validation. we wanted to be able to access the values input to generate a new idea instance, and update the DOM based on these instances. Finally we wanted to be able to access local storage, to save, delete, and return our content on future visits to the site.
What role do you typically play on a team? (If you answer, provide an example from this project)
For this project I was more of a leader and a teacher. This is my second time through mod1 so I was more familiar with the project's concepts than my partners were. Because of this, I wanted to explore the directions my partners wanted to take, even if I didn't think they were quite right. I think this gave us a better understanding of what works, and what we still need to learn. There were also variables

We have decided to do a highly colaborative divide and conquer for some of work, just because there is so much. We will makesure we are on the same page, dividing out the work, and going over things before they're pushed.
How do you communicate best? How do you appreciate receiving communication from others?
We all agree on direct honest communication. We also value sincerity, and politeness in our honesty. We are comfortable speaking our minds when we have something to say/ask.

Mod 2 Week 1: Building Habits to Become a Software Developer, Part II
Week 1: [Link here to your gist]
Reflect on your habits from last module. What behaviors and activities were helpful for you? What activities and behaviors could be more effective for you? What processes would you like to try differently this module to become more effective at your work and as a software developer?
The biggest benifit to me was being more present with my class. This means showing up to as many study halls as I can, helping as many people out as I can, asking as many questions as I need, etc.
I think I need to put even more time and emphasis into class work. I think this was one of the reasons I ended up repeating mod 1. I though of school as the side "gig" to my life. After that I realized I need to reverse that order.
I know that I am not a fan of planning. I never have been. I suppliment this by hard work, and trying to complete things before I really take a break. I know that this can be detremental in the long

Career Journal Overview
Overview
What is a career journal? The journal will help guide you through the process of discovering who you are as a new developer and how that translates into your career goals. It’s a way to check in with yourself through self-reflection, prompts, and questions, organize your targeted job search, and remember who you met as you build a professional network.
Make it your own. Add questions and areas to reflect on each week. Just don’t forget to share all of your successes and achievements along the way!
Ongoing progress checks. Throughout the module, you'll respond to the other prompts and update your progress in your document during professional development workshops and set aside work time.
Module Expectations. A completed career journal is required for successfully passing the module. The career development team will be assessing your progress throughout the module, and you will submit it for final review in week 6. You will also include highlights from your progress in your end of module portfolio pres

Mod 1 Week 1: Understanding your strengths
Describe one of your strengths
I think one of my greatest strengths is my self sufficiency. I know how to keep myself on track, both professionally and personally. This includes healing and growth in both of these fields. This flows beyond just a strength, it is also my belief that to make the world a better place, you must first make yourself a better person.
What is something you have learned to do well (list a skill)?
I have learned to be quite self sufficient. This ability comes with holding myself responsible for both my failures and successes. These acts also come with not beating myself up over mistakes, and not gloating over things I have done well, respectively.
What is something you know about (list some knowledge/expertise you have)?
I know what to do in order to heal/recharge, and build myself up for continued success. Some of these things include how to take care of my body and mind, how to utilize time for work and time for breaks, and what to do/where
