Can you help me figure out how to partiton my drive so I can dual boot my Windows 7 machine with Ubuntu?
I have a brand new laptop with Windows 7 pre-installed. I would like to make my laptop dual boot with Ubuntu. But I've run into a road block. Can you help me get past it? Here's what I've done so far:
1.0: I created a bootable USB stick as per these instructions: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows
2.0: I started the installation process as per : http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/install-ubuntu-desktop
2.4: The start up screen in the instructions give an option to "Install Ubuntu alongside Windows 7" but this option doesn't appear for me. Instead, there is only an advanced option to partiton the drive.
I have no idea how to do this.
Following the advice on this page,

Install MT7601U WiFi adapter driver for OpenELEC (Raspberry Pi)

I bought (a few) Wireless-N WiFi adapters from Ebay to enable WiFi on my OpenELEC-featured Raspberry Pi. I was hoping it would work out-of-the-box, but that wasn't true. Some attempts such as modprobe rt2x00usb did not work as expected because it's a totally different chipset.

The output of lsusb:

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 148f:7601 Ralink Technology, Corp.

Reply to @DCcuddleface on "management reform"

@DCcuddleface mentions the latest vaunted effort at management reform, Zappo's adoption of "holocracy". It's just one buzzword in a long and growing list.

Tech industry bosses are understandably anxious to throw off the pall of "management", which sounds downright old-fashioned (anathema to those frantically seeking "disruption"). After all, "management" originally meant controlling a horse, particularly when training ("taking it through its paces"). Following Saint-Simon, it's crucial for the self-image of the tech capitalist that they not just
