    Requirements

Encrypt everthing including /boot and /root
Enter password once
Support UEFI

Installation media setup
Download NixOS minimal iso and copy to USB stick. For example on Mac OSX
$ diskutil list
$ diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk1 # Make sure you got right device
