AJAX timing interceptor: this class intercepts all AJAX calls and records the time taken for the HTTP request to complete. These timings are posted back to the server in batches, if there are any to send, about every two seconds. Tested in Firefox, Chrome
(function(XHR) {
"use strict";
var stats = [];
var timeoutId = null;
var open = XHR.prototype.open;
var send = XHR.prototype.send;

Installing SSHPass

Installing SSHPASS

SSHPass is a tiny utility, which allows you to provide the ssh password without using the prompt. This will very helpful for scripting. SSHPass is not good to use in multi-user environment. If you use SSHPass on your development machine, it don't do anything evil.

Installing on Ubuntu

apt-get install sshpass

Installing on OS X

How to proxy web apps using nginx?

Virtual Hosts on nginx (CSC309)

When hosting our web applications, we often have one public IP address (i.e., an IP address visible to the outside world) using which we want to host multiple web apps. For example, one may wants to host three different web apps respectively for example1.com, example2.com, and example1.com/images on the same machine using a single IP address.

How can we do that? Well, the good news is Internet browsers

Handle CORS Client-side

Handle CORS Client-side

Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) is a mechanism that allows restricted resources (e.g. fonts) on a web page to be requested from another domain outside the domain from which the first resource was served. This is set on the server-side and there is nothing you can do from the client-side to change that setting, that is up to the server/API. There are some ways to get around it tho.

Sources : MDN - HTTP Access Control | Wiki - CORS

CORS is set server-side by supplying each request with additional headers which allow requests to be requested outside of the own domain, for example to your localhost. This is primarily set by the header:

Access-Control-Allow-Origin
