Setup VPS Server

Step 1

Buy a VPS with a foreign IP address.
Check out:
DigitalOcean
BandWagon
Vultr
...and the list continues. The point here is to find a server with a fast connnection.
(Beware when choosing the image of the server. The following tutorial is based on Ubuntu system.)

Setup simple-obfs For Shadowsocks(windows)

Official website: https://github.com/shadowsocks/simple-obfs
First ssh into your VPS.
Enter systemctl stop shadowsocks-libev to stop ss if it was running.

Build (copied from the official website)

Run following commands according to the system of your VPS.

# Debian / Ubuntu
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends build-essential autoconf libtool libssl-dev libpcre3-dev libev-dev asciidoc xmlto automake
