What is Color Blindness?

Color blindness, also known as color vision deficiency, is the inability or decreased ability to see color or perceive color differences under normal lighting conditions. This condition can affect various aspects of daily life, including the ability to differentiate between certain colors, which can be crucial for tasks such as reading traffic lights, choosing ripe fruits, or selecting matching clothing.

Types of Color Blindness

  1. Red-Green Color Blindness
    • Protanomaly: Reduced sensitivity to red light.
    • Protanopia: Inability to see red light.
  • Deuteranomaly: Reduced sensitivity to green light.
