Actionable Items moving forward towards accessibility

I will make sure all my HTML semantic tags are correct. example: never make a paragraph act as a button example: use labels on forms so they don't have to click a small checkbox

I will make sure content spacing and color contrasts are good for people with vision impairments.

I will check my sites over with a screen reader tool to make sure it acts how it should and it usable by someone with an impairment.

Work in Progress.

Build on your professional story by thinking about how you're progressing at Turing. Answer the questions below in your own gist to use your StrengthsFinder themes to add to your story:

Write 1-2 paragraphs about your StrengthsFinder themes: How have you seen yourself using these strengths at Turing? Has your understanding of these strengths changed since you first reflected on them? If so, how?

  • My strengths have stayed the same.

Write a story about your Turing experience so far: When have you struggled? How have you dealt with struggle? When have you succeeded at Turing? How did you accomplish those successes?

Robbie Greiner - Turing Prework - Career Development

Part 1 - From Reading "29 Behaviors That Will Make You an Unstoppable Programmer"

Three behaviors that resonated with me were as follows:

  • #6 "Understand that code is cheap" They talked about how a good dev has no issue throwing out hundreds of line to do something different. They went on to talk about how some people worry to much about sunk cost and don't want to throw away their code. This is something I can definitely relate to. Coming from my field in Civil Engineering, there have been many times I have worked for days, possibly weeks on something, but ended up scrapping it for a better method. I have absolutely zero qualms about throwing away my work to create something a better way. Usually I learned something while doing the previous method, and it helps me perform even better the second time using a new method. I am sure it is frustrating choosing a route, then coding for a day, then having someone tell you "maybe we should
