Prime Day Deal Checking

before buying anything on amazon make sure to install the keepa chrome extension - this will show you the price history of every item right in the product page (under the photo)

just an fyi- while you can sync your wishlists with keepa or camelcamelcamel.com and get notifications when anything drops X % or $, the service is unable to do prime day/lightning deals notifications afaik.

the fastest ways I've found to check if there's anything you might want to buy (assuming you've already put things on a wish list or added them to your cart and clicked 'save for later') are:

  1. go to your shopping cart and read the price change notifications. you can 'ctrl f' "prime day deal" after scrolling down to load your cart

new machine choco setup
Why use chocolatey?
Firstly, know that there's no switching cost. You can leave your existing programs as is.
Choco makes installing and maintaining programs MUCH faster and easier:
-You dont have to click thru screens
-It tracks everything you install so you can update all your apps in 3 words, choco upgrade all
-or search through to quickly find out what version you have, etc.
-Makes searching apps easier, for example to find out if you have something or what version
It replaces the tedious workflow for app/software installation, which is normally:
1. go to the website for the company who made the app/software, find the download button

  1. signup for coinbase.com or metamask.io and click 'receive' then 'eth' (ethereum) and get your receiving address
  2. download trex https://github.com/trexminer/T-Rex/releases/ cuda11 version, unzip/copy folder contents somewhere, then, inside that folder:
  3. edit ETH-ethermine.bat to use YOUR receiving address from step1, and set the server to us2.ethermine.org, so it looks like this:

t-rex.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://us2.ethermine.org:4444 -u YOURRECEIVINGADDRESSGOESHERE -w myPetTrex

  1. run ETH-ethermine.bat
