To remove a submodule you need to:
- Delete the relevant section from the .gitmodules file.
- Stage the .gitmodules changes git add .gitmodules
- Delete the relevant section from .git/config.
- Run git rm --cached path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
- Run rm -rf .git/modules/path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
- Commit git commit -m "Removed submodule "
- Delete the now untracked submodule files rm -rf path_to_submodule
From within the parent repo do
git submodule add git@bitbucket.org:iracooke/transcriptomes.git/wiki wiki
git commit -m "Adding wiki as submodule"
git push
Making changes to the wiki and to the parent require separate git commit commands.

-- The only requirement is that it have three columns:
-- dt, user_id, inc_amt
-- Where dt is a date and user_id is some unique identifier for a user.
-- Each dt-user_id pair should be unique in this table.
-- inc_amt represents the amount of value that this user created on dt.
-- The most common case is
-- inc_amt = incremental revenue from the user on dt |
