Custom T-Shirt Printing

Some notes on custom t-shirt printing costs/etc

Base Shirt Types

Looking through my wardrobe, majority of the shirts I like seem to be printed on ASColor t-shirts.

Custom Print Sites

Australian:

    • On a black ASColor tall tee, with something printed on 1 side seems to be AU$34.95, and on 2 sides seems to be AU$54.95; seemingly no MOC.
    • Adding prints to the extra sections seemed to cost: back bottom +$20, back top +$20, front bottom +$20, left sleeve +$20, right sleeve +$20
    • On this base shirt: https://www.thetshirtmill.com.au/blank_product/5650637/AS-Colour-Tall-Tee?c=252558
    • This was just the first random site that showed up on google in AU, so there may be cheaper/better options out there; but figured i'd share it as a point of reference.
    • The same shirt/design seems to be $32 for 1-sided and $47 for 2-sided
    • Though their design tool also has less options of where you can position the art; whereas 'the tshirt mill' can do 3 different areas on the back of the tall shirt + sleeves, etc.
    • Uses literally the same design tool as 'the tshirt mill', but costs $38.95 for 1-sided, or $48.95 for 2-sided
    • But it also seems to give limited options for where to print on the back, and no sleeves, etc.
    • Uses literally the same design tool as 'the tshirt mill', but costs $36.10 for 1-sided, or $48.20 for 2-sided
    • It seems it also has 2 positions to print on the back of the tall tee (not 3 like the other one, and there is no good crossover like the other one) as well as sleeves (adding one sleeve seemed to be an extra +$11)
    • Has MOQ of 1 shirts, and seemingly no online design tool
  • https://www.tshirthub.com.au/products/men/
    • Doesn't seem to give me the range of shirts the others do, so not even sure if it can do an ASColor tall tee
  • https://www.createapparel.com.au/designer/
    • Uses literally the same design tool as 'the tshirt mill', costs $32.99 for 1-sided, or $43.99 for 2-sided.
    • It doesn't seem to offer printing on sleeves, but it is the only other tool that seems to offer the same 3 positions on the back of the shirt, and seems to offer 2 on the front (though it does seem that adding extra print positions adds to the cost as well; eg. adding to the bottom of the back was +$11, top of the back was +$11, bottom of the front was +$11; so seems to add $11 per area in general)
    • 1-sided seems to be $30.95, 2-sided is $40.95
    • Only seems to have basic front/back, not multiple sections on each, nor sleeves.
    • Uses literally the same design tool as 'the tshirt mill', but costs $58.22 for 1-sided, or $87.85 for 2-sided
    • As well as the standard areas, it has bottom back (+$13.59), left sleeve (+$9.68), right sleeve (+$9.68)
    • Uses literally the same design tool as 'the tshirt mill', but costs $31.32 for 1-sided, or $42.32 for 2-sided
    • As well as the standard areas, it has front bottom (+$10), bottom back (+$11), left sleeve (+$11), right sleeve (+$11)

  • I think Roachy and Erica both have the equipment to do custom shirts, though not sure of the specifics of it.. would need to check.
