Captation vidéo / Livestream Conf tech

Material list (from top/left to bottom/right) :

  • Wires (XLR => mini Jack, SDI Cable, HDMI Cables)
(USB Cables are provided in Magewell acquisition cards)

Notes :

  • You can replace the SDI Acquisition setup by an HDMI one. SDI allows longer wire cables (up to ~100m) and may be the de-facto wiring setup on large venues (like the Palais des Congrès at Bordeaux :-))

  • The cam acquisition is clearly a NICE TO HAVE for livestream : better invest in a good mic and a good speaker laptop acquisition material. Seeing speaker on cam is less important than hearing him/her and seeing his/her coding live.

  • Beware of Wireless mic reception stations as some of them may work with only 1 mic whereas some are compatible with 2 mics. Can be worth to be able to scale (later) to 2 mics in case of 2 speakers, without having to buy a new reception station & an audio mixing table.

  • Depending on the venue, we may have mixing table for hand mic : in that case, we need to plug the wireless mic receptor to this mixing table, then get the mixing output to the LINE IN Acquisition laptop
Beware that as soon as we you have more than 1 different audio input, you will need a mixing table.

Works on both Linux/Mac/Windows

Useful to mix every streams (audio & video) and livestream to Youtube (for instance)
