As a computer science student, getting a glimpse into the professional game development industry is an incredible opportunity. Recently, I was granted the chance to participate in async playtesting for an upcoming baseball-themed video game at Mega Cat Studios.
The playtesting was structured asynchronously, which was great for balancing the workload with my academic schedule. My primary responsibilities involved:
- Recording gameplay sessions to capture raw player reactions and core interactions.
- Documenting bugs, UI/UX friction points, and the overall game feel.
- Providing structured, actionable feedback to the development team.
