The Tale of Rebaseland

Once upon a time there was only one great master in Rebaseland. Many people with forks spread
over all of the country and everyone was happy. But then the war started. King Bink of RAD
country was unhappy about some of his people moving to Rebaseland. So he started to attack
Rebaseland in an attempt to rewrite history.
Rebaseland suffered from the war and, even though they could make peace with Bink, order
could not be restored.
So, the SHA-Lords rose, fighting in order to become the new master.

This was, when the time of heroes began. In Rebaseland there were 3 heroes:
MacMercury "CWalther" Two-Legs (“The Guardian of Compatibility”),
Doctor "branan" Wondrous (“Where no man has hacked before”) and
Willitex "Hoikas" Plode (“The Netcode Avenger”).
These three started to search for the one master.

One master to match them all,
one master to parent them,
one master to pull from them
and in their upstream bind them.

Whether they were successful is another story.
And so, they all rebased happily ever after.

The days were dark and cold at that time. Fear and despair were in the hearts of Rebaseland’s
people. Only the three heroes of the Fellowship of Plasma were working day and night to find
the One Master. They looked everywhere. They visited the Land of the Unics (a special kind of
unicorns), they climbed Apple Trees, they bashed Gits... Well, they even looked through several
Windows. Finally, they could gather everything that was needed to choose the One Master.

The One Master was perfect and quite unique. Many people, like the anonymous narrator of this
story, tried to choose another master but the One Master did not allow duplicates. Without the
needed second apostrophe for the a’moaca-Ingredient, it was impossible to do the secret ritual.

Anyway, with that One Master, the three heroes were ready to fight. In the famous Battle of
“Shell’s Crypt” in the year of World’s End, they could defeat the SHA-Lords and the remaining
troops of Bink’s army.

Once again, order was restored in Rebaseland and the new Master was in place. However, the
problems were not gone. The Guild of Compilers refused to continue the work on the code of
Rebaseland. They, especially the sinister Guild Master V’sual Sto Dheo, demanded more goods
and power over the movie industry of Rebaseland and cause a production outage.
There were rumors of another hero who was trying to find a solution: Deledrius, “the Architect”
and another member of the Fellowship of Plasma, who also built his famous labyrinth near the
Inn “Turn It”. 

Would he save Rebaseland? That is another story.
And so, they all compiled happily ever after.
