Contributor License Agreement for projects of Audi Electronics Venture GmbH (AEV)
The following terms are used throughout this agreement:
•	You - the person or legal entity/ entities who make/ s a Contribution and is therefore asked to accept this agreement
•	Contribution - any type of work that is Submitted to the repository, including any modifications or additions to existing work.
•	Project – a project which is stored and maintained under AEV organization at https://github.com/AEV 
•	Submitted - conveyed to a Project via a pull request, commit, issue, or any form of electronic, written, or verbal communication with the copyright owner, contributors or maintainers.
•	Company – the Audi Electronics Venture GmbH, Sachsstraße 20, 85049 Gaimersheim, Germany

1.	Grant of Rights
Subject to the terms and conditions of this agreement and notwithstanding the regulations of the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0) that governs this Project, You grant to the Company, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable right to use, copy and reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and such derivative or modified works.
2.	Grant of Patent Rights
If your Contribution implies patent-protected content(s), You hereby grant to the Company and to recipients of your Contribution(s) distributed by the Company a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable patent license, with the right to transfer an unlimited number of non-exclusive licenses or to grant sublicenses to third parties, to make, have made, use, sell, offer for sale, import and otherwise transfer the Contribution and the Contribution in combination with any Material (and portions of such combination). This license applies to all patents owned or controlled by You, whether already acquired or hereafter acquired, that would be infringed by making, having made, using, selling, offering for sale, importing or otherwise transferring of your Contribution(s) alone or by combination of your Contribution(s) with any Material.

You declare that You are not aware that your Contribution could infringe or infringes patent rights of third parties. 
If any third party institutes patent litigation - including cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit - against the Company alleging that your Contribution or any Project it was Submitted to constitutes or is responsible for direct or contributory patent infringement, You are obligated to reimburse the cost of the Company arising out of the patent litigation.
The parties hereto shall inform each other promptly of any claimed infringement of/or any attack against the Contribution(s).
3.	Source of Contribution
You declare that the Contribution was created in whole or in part by You and You have the right to Submit it under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0); or

You declare that the Contribution is based in whole or in part upon previous work that is covered under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0) or an appropriate and compatible open source license and You have the right under that license to Submit that work with modifications, whether created in whole or in part by You, under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0). 

4.	Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If the Contribution is made by a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB, the choice of law may not, however, have the result of depriving the consumer of the protection afforded to him by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement by virtue of the law which, in the absence of choice, would have been applicable on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 REGULATION (EC) No 593/2008 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL.
For all disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Ingolstadt, Germany, unless the Contribution is made by a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB.
5.	Severability
Should individual provisions of this Agreement be or become wholly or partly invalid or unenforceable or should this Agreement contain a contractual gap, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
