- I'm reading your discussion of CAP in Real World Java EE Patterns. When you say 'the "Don't Distribute" advice can be understood as a general best practice', does that include cases where a single-JVM app is replicated on the nodes in a cluster? In other words, is the best practice not to run a cluster at all? Or does "distributed" here refer only to apps where you run "the presentation in one process and run your business logic on another machine"? [Mike W.]
