Rocket Chat Alexa Skill Beta Test Invite

Steps to register

  1. Submit the email that you use to login into your Alexa Device in the below form.

  1. You will receive an invitation mail to the beta skill after some time(or days).

Follow the below steps after receiving the mail

  1. Create an account in the below Rocket Chat bots server. (where all the experiments happen)

https://bots.rocket.chat (You can use any email to register)

  1. Accept the invitation to the beta skill through mail.
  2. Go to the Skills & Games section of your Alexa App and look for the skill called Test Rocket in Your Skills Section.
  3. Follow the below steps:
    1. Click on "Enable to Use"
    2. Give permissions for notifications and click on "Save Permissions"
    3. Click on Settings
    4. Click on Link Account

  1. You will get redirected to Rocket Chat bots server login page, you have to enter details used in step 3 and click on Authorise.
  2. To start testing the skill
    Say:

Alexa, Open Test Rocket

Alexa will respond with

Welcome to Rocket Chat Alexa Skill, What can I do for you today?

You can say

Send message to channel general

And then send a welcome message :)

The full list of functionalities available in the skill, will be posted and pinned in the General Channel of bots server.
