XLD Configuration Reset
To remove the old configuration of XLD (X Lossless Decoder) on a Mac by deleting two files, you can follow these steps:
1. Open Finder:
- Click on the Finder icon in your Dock or open a new Finder window.
2. Navigate to the XLD configuration files and delete the XLD configuration files:
- XLD configuration files are typically stored in the user's home directory.
- Go to the following paths, look for these files they are (currently) named something like:
~/Library/Preferences/jp.tmkk.XLD.plist
~/Library/Application\ Support/XLD/XLD.plist.backup
You can delete these files by dragging them to the Trash or right-clicking and selecting "Move to Trash."
4. Empty the Trash:
- After moving the files to the Trash, right-click on the Trash icon in your Dock and select "Empty Trash" to permanently delete the files.
5. Restart XLD:
- If XLD is still running, restart the application for the changes to take effect.
By following these steps, you should successfully remove the old configuration of XLD on your Mac. Remember to exercise caution when deleting files, and make sure you are deleting the correct files associated with XLD.
