Lich plumb guid by Alex Targaryen

Lich siege guide

In the current meta, the lich siege is a very efficient way to take down ANY defense for nothing. Even if your opponent is a huge whale, all you need is energy and revive pots. Now how does it work?

There are several variants to the lich siege so I will start by explaining you the most basic one.

Frontline full of silver marauders, backline silver acolytes and heroes. Why is it so strong? Firstly, undead troops don’t lose morale, are many, and they also don’t get affected by poison. Their only counter are zone damage troops, but gazul will anyways resurrect them once they get killed. Secondly, even if your skeletons die, they are extremely cheap and your acolytes will plunder ressources like crazy so you won’t suffer any losses. Moreover, their training time is very low so you can just use free rush to build them again and again. The most important and difficult part is to choose the heroes. You might need or not need some of them depending on your target.

I will tell you how to build and use them, and you will have to decide who you will use.

1-Gazul

He is the most important hero and I don’t recommend you to siege without him. His skeleton ***y buffs ALL undead troops’ greatly, and his immortal strength will add an other buff on your marauders and allow them to resurrect.
Skills: Skeleton sacrify and immortal strength are the most important skills on him. Skeleton sacrify will increase hp and atq of all your skeletons, immortal strength will increase the hp of your marauders and allow them to resurrect even if gazul is dead! Fearsome aura could be a bit useful but I’d rather give all points to the 2 skills mentionner earlier, every race has some no morale losing troops so it won’t be as effective as it may seem in most of the case.
Gear: ONLY GIVE COMMAND. Don’t try to complete his full divine set, all you need is COMMAND. The skills mentioned earlier get buffed by command, so the more command you got on gazul the strongest he will be. Really give him as much command as you can and nothing else.

2-Jacques

The most important hero after gazul, your siege will be much less effective without him. Do I even need to tell you why he is so important? Because he is extremely strong - he can destroy most of the defense by himself.
Skills: max spray and pray and expanded capacity. Also give points to rocket launcher and a bit to double charge.
Gear: Give him as much might and stamina as possible. Might is more important than stamina. If possible, give him the trinket for expanded capacity +1

3- Mako

Mako is a kind of mini Jacques. He doesn’t do as much damage as him but he is still pretty good.
Skills: max eagle eye then killer instinct. If you got some point left you can give them to crack shot or to scatter shot
Gear: give him only might, that’s the only thing that matters.

4-Dendji

Some of you might be surprised, but dendji is in fact a very big damage dealer besides being a tank. He won’t do much damage to big units, but he will easily wipe out any small unit.
Skills: spin strike, deflect, powerful physique, meat dumpling. All of them are useful. Besides triggering deflect, spin strike will deal a lot of damage to enemies and inflict them weakened armour to deal them even more damage. Deflect will reduce the damage he receives. Powerful physique will give him bonus might and stun enemies. Meat dumpling is extremely strong, it will heal him a lot, increase his attack and attack speed, and also increase his size so he touches more units. In this mode, he is a pure beast. Use it and you will see enemy’s troops dying extremely fast. He is often the second damage dealer after Jacques.

5-Avalon:

Not very useful for lich, but his war horn is useful for any situation. That’s the only skill you need to max.
Gear: Give him command gear only

6-Cleo:

Very good crowd control and good for killing small units, she will do a very good job on the battlefield.
Skills: max time of creation and give the rest to tome of wisdom.
Gear: only give her magic I don’t recommend to use her often, since she costs a lot of mana. Only use her for difficult siege, try to not waste your mana potions.

7- Grimms

Grimms is only a support hero for Jacques, max his reload ammo and ammo wagon

8-Baelrog

Baelrog is a little tank, but he is especially good to decrease the enemy stats.
Skills: max overawe and give 1 point to revenant for the stunt effect. Give the rest to indomitable spirit.
Gear: focus on his command as much as possible, but you may give his a bit of stamina too.

9- Fenris

The lone wolf will help you a lot on the battlefield, he is a bonus hero that will help you to destroy the defensive troops besides tanking the damages with his wolves.
Skills: I recommend to max you his passive skills as to ignore full moon which costs a lot of energy. All his skills are useful, blood thirst, feral instinct and lupine link are a bit better than the remaining 2.
Gear: Give him as much stats as possible, every stats help him. Still preferably might.

10- Sprig

Same thing as mako about description and gear.
Skills: max his presence of mind and elemental arrows. Give the rest to forest guard.

11- elena

I only use her when I siege lich castles, her magic resistance will reduce the damage of enemy acolytes. That’s the only skill you need to max, then give a point to tactical retreat, I will explain why later.
Gear: max her command

12-tiadrin

She makes a decent tank and is extremely good to siege lich castles
Skills: max purge the land and then sacred shield.
Gear: mainly focus on command and magic to increase purge the land damage.

13-Rose

Correct damage, her poison is useful against humanoid units. Her spiderlings will also help you during the siege by tanking some damage.
Skills: max her last ability, then the first. She is mainly here to spawn her spiderlings, you got other heroes to do damage. If you still got ability points left, give them to toxic touch.
Gear: max command

Other heroes

Bane, virion and gafgar tanks. Just max their stamina, but not very useful except when sieging some very strong castles.

Hero classification

That makes a lot of heroes, so I will classify them in different tiers.

  1. A = gazul, Jacques
  2. B = mako, Avalon, dendji, Cleo, Baelrog, elena
  3. C = fenris, sprig, tiadrin
  4. D = Gan, Rose, bane, virion, gafgar
  5. E = rufio, avril

There is no need to put many of them, I do most of my siege with only 6 heroes: gazul, Jacques, mako, dendji, Avalon and elena can easily clean most of the lich defenses.

I told you earlier that the basic lich siege was composed of silver marauders and acolytes. But there are some variants. The first one that I highly recommend is to borrow a turtle from a Rakan player. Preferably gold, but silver is still very useful. It’s for this variant that I told you to give a point to elena’s tactical retreat, so you can recall the turtle in case it is attacked.

An other variant is to use gold acolytes behind you silver marauders, they will kill enemy troops faster and you will suffer less loses. More difficult to do, because it requires to use some of your gold cap for that.

Now, how to siege? What skills to use?

If you use cleo, first skill should be black hole. Then, use jacques’ spray and pray, reload with Grimms. There is a ton of possibilities for the rest, like dendji‘s meat dumpling or mako’s scatter shot.

Note: I recommend you to use an other high damage hero with Jacques because Jacques attacks the wall before killing all the troops.

If you don’t use cleo, just start with Jacques’ spray and pray, then dendji’s meat dumpling or mako’s scatter shot, then reload.
