A short trope-inventory of all the stories. :)

Bookay Contest Reviews: With Tropes!

So this is a very small analysis with a mention and a bit of explanation if not already obvious. All the tropes are linked to tvtropes. I'll be going in the order they are posted in the album, or at least how they appear to me.

  1. ####That guy in the queue.

  2. ####Change *

  3. ####Birthday Texts

  4. ####A Hailstorm of Dust.

  5. ####Salted Kisses

  6. ####Reunion

  7. ####A Pitiful Boy

  8. ####Words

  9. ####The Nameless Country

    • Anvilicious: Very obvious about its message.
    • Some Anvils Need To Be Dropped: And just as obvious is the need for that message.
    • Dystopia: The world described is pretty much a dystopia. It is also very realistic in the sense that it talks about real issues and does not go into the fantastic issues category.
    • Does This Remind You of Anything: The country is obviously Pakistan, although most Third World countries fit the bill. Even the Arab Spring fits it.
    • Crapsack World: If it's not a dystopia, it is at least this.
    • Rebel Leader: Of course.
    • Dark Messiah: The leader has tinges of this.
    • Revolving Door Revolution: Seems to be happening in the story.
    • Nameless Narrative: None of the characters in the story have any names. In fact, even the name of the nation itself has been lost. People are referred to as Ally and Enemies.
    • Airstrip One: The country no longer has a name.
  10. ####Sunless Days

  11. ####What Being Close Feels Like

  12. ####The Barren Lands

  13. ####The Bliss
