It is hard to write about the web3 for me because for a piece of writing to be meaningful the writer has or imagines a connection to his audience. Argubly our society in the technological western world gets more complex every day. Last year I read the books: Sapiens and Homo Deus. In the book the author describes which immense leaps humanity as a species and as a civilization accomplish since the beginnings.
Stories are a foundational cornerstone of our understaning. We invent stories to achieve collaboration. As we march throgh history we invent new stories and abandon old ones.
Web3 to me means a lot of things many technical but these only give maning to values.
For me the web3 is about human values. Which simply means the best tool humanity has yet concieved to find the balance betetween the needs of the individual, society and the environment.
Concrete examples could be supply chains powered by web3 technologies which allow the society as a whole to have better food for example. But the web3 allows also quite a bit more freedom of choice for the individual to pursue his luck, as a token investor for example.
The balance between the individual, society and the environment is crucial. Until now to some degree one party could ignore the other. But if we want to live in a propser and peaceful way into the future we have to acknowledge that working together works better than against eachother.
