Ramblings about Art, Technology and Attention span

https://twitter.com/mistermircea/status/908838936046456832

1/The intersection of Technology and Art.

2/Art, music & literature teach you to see, hear, feel and think. They show you the world, yourself, and how to orient yourself & act in it.

3/In generations past it was always the arts, literature and music that were at the forefront of reshaping culture and shifting its norms.

4/Movements in art, music and literature both influenced and reflected the times, operating predominantly as a reaction to what came before.

FIN/ Thank you, Satoshi Nakomoto. And to all the shoulders that Satoshi stands upon.

36/ Ultimately, the nation-state is just a network (of networks).

35/ Blockchain-based market networks will replace existing networks. Slowly, then suddenly. In one thing, then in many things.

34/ Networks governed without kings, priests, elites, corporations and mobs. Networks governed by anyone with merit to the network.

33/ Blockchains give us new ways to govern networks. For banking. For voting. For search. For social media. For phone and energy grids.

Information Asymmetry - Context Problem

In each topic there are certain persons which could be identified as "thoughtleaders" or public figures in that space. They give talks , interviews write books etc. They are deeply embedded in their context.

Now if a person not embedded into this context wants to explore this context. I would argue that up until now the method most preferred method was to read a book from the person about the context. A book as a medium gives space for a comprehensive introduction to the topic.

But there are problems with the book. You have to remember . You can not query the book for something like:

Watch me: http://www.ted.com/talks/don_tapscott_how_the_blockchain_is_changing_money_and_business#t-1077274

1. Blockchains verstehen und für sie programmieren

Rethinking the Office

  • Measure how long People talk to each other
  • create models from discussions
  • have the company as a model
  • writing specs and having programs to conform to them is simply to slow, error prone and creates too much complexity
  • you can see how the old media (written notes, accounting) creep into what could be new processes Ü(experimentation and colaboration in models)
  • get rid of documents all together
  • create sources of proof (chain of trust) as momental representations
  • help build oracles ( predict how models might look like with certain parameter modifications)
