Dieser interessante Beitrag untersucht in wie weit das Spiel Civilization sich an der realen Weltgeschichte orientiert. Die Beispiele zu Keramik, Eisen und Bronze sind gut gewählt und in Teilen kann man durchaus verstehen das Aufgrund von vereinfachter Spielmechanik Sachverhalte verschoben, verzerrt oder vereinfacht wurden.
Und trotzdem bleiben da die Fragen: Was wäre wenn man zu erst Bambus- Katapult Bomben mit Schwarzpulver hätte bevor man die Musketen bekommt? Besonders kritisch sieht der Autor die Euro-zentrische Perspektive des Spiel in Bezug auf Epochen und Kulturentwicklungsmöglichkeiten. Auch hier wieder eine Vereinfachung der Spielmechanik. Weil es in Europa ein Mittelalter gab muss es das auch so in China oder Südamerika geben? Islam und Konfuzius kommen viel zu kurz.
Man könnte dies wieder auf die Spielmechanik schieben. Ich frage mich jedoch. Ob es nicht viel interessante

Blockchains sind ein relativ komplexes Gebilde. Das hängt damit zusammen das sie aus der "Crypto-Community" kommen, genau wie Bitcoin, das bedeutet das sie innerhalb eines eigenen Kontext existieren. Es werden kontextspezifische Begriffe und Konzepte verwendet welche nicht immer "alltags"-verständlich sind. Somit kann man sehr viel Zeit investieren oder auch nur ein 2 minuten youtube video sehen.

But what do we want to think? I think many people want the same thing (see maslov pyramid of needs). But the ever interesting question in the history of humanity was: How to do that so that there exists an equilibrium between all humans (society) and the rest of the planet (nature). Personally I see post-capitalism as a part of a solution for that, but economy is only one thing that should change. To conceive such a complex balance is not a simple thing. Alan Kay often talks about how the internet has some biological ideas in it and yes I think to achieve that balance we need some kind of network organism where everyone is connected and heard. Even nature. So lets focus on that, the impossible thought: How can we live together in peace and prosperity with each other and nature?
