TITLE:
What was the reasoning behind freezing the C# chatroom today?
BODY:
The [C# chatroom](http://chat.stackoverflow.com/rooms/7/c) was [frozen at 14:16](http://chat.stackoverflow.com/transcript/message/30669738#30669738)
today. The freeze occurred after a discussion about the correctness of a moderation decision taken a while earlier.
[Another room](http://chat.stackoverflow.com/rooms/112519/discussion-about-c-events-on-may-20th) was created in the meantime,
another discussion with the moderation team was had, and the room was unfrozen again 45 minutes later.
Without attempting to point fingers, the C# room community would like to know the reasoning behind the decision to freeze
the room. From a user's perspective, it can appear that the freeze was enacted to prevent further discussion; on the other
hand, you'd hope a moderator wouldn't deliberately freeze a room for that purpose alone.
There is also some debate about whether the moderator in question was moderating primarily on personal opinion rather than
existing policy; perhaps this could also be clarified?
