|Welcome to /r/questhub, dungeoneer!|

This is the subreddit for Play by Post games via THE WONDROUS MEDIUM OF REDDIT & NOTHING IN BETWEEN

|How does this thing work?|

It's simple really, submit a text post, title it what you want and give a brief summary of what's going on

There are three main "modes" (currently) to doing this:

  • Storybook mode: This mode, basically, is collaborative fiction: You write a section of the story, another user does the same.

  • Wildcard mode: You implement your own system. Simple.

  • Quest mode: Think of this like /tg/'s quests or how MS Paint Adventures (or used to, in the case of MS Paint Adventures) works, the original poster acts as a DM for everything in the game, while the other users suggest where the story goes though the means of commands

    Example:

    Lacy: Pick up the Crobar

/* The all important stylesheet; gaze in wonder...
* USE THE INSPECT ELEMENT TOOL ON YOUR BROWSER. */
/* BEGIN TITLE BLOCK*/
.link a.title{text-decoration: underline;}
/*END TITLE BLOCK*/
.gilded{text-decoration: underline;}

BEFORE POSTING REMEMBER TO SELECT A FLAIR TAG. IT MAKES EVERYTHING SO MUCH EASIER.

Remember:

  • Storybook mode: This mode, basically, is collaborative fiction: You write a section of the story, another user does the same.
  • Quest mode: Think of this like /tg/'s quests or how MS Paint Adventures (or used to, in the case of MS Paint Adventures) works, the original poster acts as a DM for everything in the game, while the other users suggest where the story goes though the means of commands
