Assess your habits from week 2:

how did you spend your time this past week?, What was effective in your habits?,What could be more effective?

On week 3 I spent most of my time working on the group project, practicing array iterator for the mid mod evaluations. What became effective during this week was to start using a personal calendar to plan my activities for the day. Being the first time for me using a a planer, it required me to start the day by looking at the activities I wanted to get done for the day and plan accordingly. This also gave a better understanding on how I was organazing my time which made it easier when I wanted to make time for something other that Turing work.

I think that I can become more effective at plannig my days ahead instead of doing it every day before starting my work day

What steps will you take to make that happen?

Make time at the end of the day to organize my schedule for the next.

Reflect on how you’ve spent your time so far at Turing to gauge your engagement and energy:

I have being able to organize my time effectively to practice all the concepts during the day but I was not being able to succesfully organize my time atound PD homeworks, which it is something I want to get better at. My energy levels were ok at the moment but with the mid mod evaluations the stress and whelm started affecting my sleep.

  1. When have you been excited, focused, and enjoyed your work? When have you felt bored, restless, or unhappy? When do you feel energized in your work? When is your energy drained?

I feel like enjoying my work when I get to focuse on my work and when I am able to cross tasks from my todo list. Having a clear goal and directions on wher I am going and what I want to accomplish is very important for me.

I feel unhappy when I get stuck and I cannot move forwars, this stops me to work on other areas, as long as I know I cannot pass a certain code problem the rest becomes harder the do. This drains a lotr of energy and makes me slow down on my progress.

Setting up habits and routines to make time for the job search this module:

Block out time on your calendar this week to work on your job search. When will you make this happen? How will you hold yourself accountable to this? What activities will you focus on during this time this week? What outcomes do you hope to reach by the end of this week because of these activities?

  • I will make time early in the mornign so I can save some options on my Huntr account.
  • I will tell my partner and make myself accountable for telling her somehting I will do, this will encourage me to find job opportnities.
  • I will work on making time

Applying wayfinding to using job search resources

Go through the resources listed here and explore 2-3 tools. List what you looked at here:

https://app.incluzion.co/job/frontend-software-engineer-javascript-react-lead-developer/

https://careers.aerolab.co/o/ui-developer-remote-friendly

Apply wayfinding: of what you looked at, what did you discover that aligns with your vision? If it didn’t align with your vision, what will you try next? Decide what tools to bookmark to explore later.

What alignes with the job postings I looked at is that both are remote opportunities and one of the is with a team of developers speak spanish.

Find a job posting that aligns with your vision. What’s the posting? How does it align with what you’re looking for? Add it to your Huntr.

I am looking for a remote and multicultural enviromennt that is willing ot invest on junior software developers.

What next steps will you take to explore that opportunity and find contacts? Add that information to your Huntr card.

I wil reach out to somoone from the company.
