- Level functions are structured, but still randomly generate to allow for replayability even with same objectives
- Pigs have chests on back: Piggy banks! With many many valuables inside
- Up to 4 players, difficulty scales!
- Objective-based, many new mobs, TONS of action
- Minor guidance helps with objectives
- RELEASES SPRING 2020
- Honey blocks: Players slide down side slowly, movable like slime blocks, move super slow on top, players move with the block movement, can't jump properly when on it
- Realms plus: Existing 10 player realms will upgrade for free. 50 marketplace contents cycle every once in a while
- Target blocks: Shoot with arrow, closer to bullseye = higher redstone signal output
- Mountains won: goats, NEW snow type (does not replace existing), more majestic generation
- Scripting Data Driven Player Rendering: Change animations, particles, or add custom render effects
- Limited time offer: Free cape! https://marketplace.minecraft.net/en-us/pdp?id=b3b50166-5612-4ff1-8f03-9af0b01cb4da
- Goal: More color variation than just red and orange/yellow
- Goal: Players should be able to live in the nether by SETTING SPAWN (how?), and finding food, but it should still be dangerous
- More nether biomes and generated structures, here are a FEW (hints that more are coming)
- Soul Sand Valley: Soul sand and SOUL BLOCKS (new block!) as floor. Fire placed on soul sand turns blue! Stalagmites (New block!), fossils, blue fog instead of red
- Nether Wart Forest RED: Nether wart trees and logs, new walking sound, new mushrooms, red grass seems like fire coral (but not), new type of grass block+netherwart fusion, particles rising. Goal: Live atmosphere in a nethery-way, many particles, vegetation, dense
- Nether Wart Forest BLUE: New blue "nethergrass" resembles prismarine, more red grass and mushrooms, similar trees but blue nether wart and logs?, Golden lighting blocks under each "Tree mushroom", particles falling, new blocks.
- Piglin Beasts: Hostile mob! Attacks players with horns. Wanders through forests (shown in red nether wart forest), charges players. Community naming feedback at https://redsto.ne/piglinbeast. This is the nether's food source!
- Pigmen renamed to Zombified Piglins
- Piglins! Go oink, adorable ears. Live in bastions (structure!). Hunt for gold, attack when opening a chest. Hold swords, crossbows, FLOPPY EARS AGAIN! They attack the piglin beasts
- Piglins can be traded with through BARTERING- eg: throw gold, they'll throw you an item. Less friendly than villager trading! New resources obtained through this.
- Illusioner coming to real game soon: Been working on building up capabilities, plan to introduce sometime and add to raids
- COMPLETE BEDROCK PARITY: They want all current updates to come out simultaneously. Working through updates moving forward- never have full parity, but they want it to feel the same spiritually at least
- Penguins "hopefully soon" but more convincing needed
- Additional free options to the character creator, other than what's currently in the beta. Overtime, more introduced
- MC Earth: Limit to people who can fit in an adventure: Has to be in the same place, in that park at that time. Cap is 40, but will probably be modified- shouldn't reach that high
- MC Earth: People playing with you determined by who's in the park: Spawns the adventure, only there for 10 minutes. Go in, there for 10 minutes, play the adventure, gradually starts "unspawning" and collapsing, then at the end they're out
- MC Dungeons: Abilities separated by artifacts and enchantments. Combine those gives interesting gameplay. Eg: Multishot with fireworks arrow
- Back to vanilla: No female vanillas because there are NO GENDERS! Look like men but they're not. New skins attempted to be neutral
- Realms: Content in realms+ can be used outside of the realm- can equip a skin and play locally or on a realm. Content can be downloaded and played locally and offline, all 50 pieces can be used wherever
- Like the brown mooshroom last year, illusioner should be the mob for this year
- When thinking of features, can go indepth. Think big, then shrink down to vanilla. Aim to keep stuff polished (lol, yeah right)
- Everything should have multiple functions and connect to multiple things
- New chicken in MC earth: Cluckshon, loves to hide in dark and lay mushrooms
- MC Vanilla implements early and then tests via gameplay
- Eventually, all biomes definitely being updated, not just the winners, and not yet
- Next 10 years: Aim to continue with major updates, 2 per year, but still want to keep it "minecrafty", all other MC-related games continue to be updated
- MC Earth in rural vs city+suburbs: Using OpenStreetMap, content selected based on where there's a proper map. Many easter eggs!
- Better, realistic mountain generation = goal
