Every day one full sun
Every night a different moon
Celestial beings intertwined
Circling, spiraling, dancing, divine
Across the stars and in the sky
One day full and one day new
Waxing, waning, gibbous too
A path laid out by physics true
Copernicus, Kepler, Newton, Einstein
And all the rest that helped to find
The rules of cosmic pantomime
Yet more to learn, see, feel and do
Until like the moon's most tidal pull
Our understanding of it all is full
