NAUC corresponde a las siglas de "Not Aware Until Confirmation", que correspondería a "No estoy enterada/o hasta confirmación".
Esta iniciativa es una respuesta a una dinámica de trabajo o empresa en la que se producen cadenas de mails con remitentes masivos o demasiadas personas en copia, con el problema adicional de que se da por hecho de que todas las personas que están en ese email se han enterado del mensaje y están de acuerdo, lo que es una peligrosa presunción.
Existen muchos motivos para no dar por hecho esto:
- Personas que se ausentan del trabajo por motivos varios (vacaciones, bajas...) y que todavía no han podido ponerse al día
- Cuestiones de salud física, emocional o mental
- Trabajo acumulado o deadlines que se acercan
En cualquiera de los casos listados (pero no limitados a los mismos), lanzamos la iniciativa NAUC (Not Aware Until Confirmation) para declarar que:
- Que todavía no he leído toda la información que se ha incluido en la cadena de mensajes
- Que puedo estar en una o más de estas situaciones:
- Estoy recopilando información para rebatir o aportar información adicional a la que ya se ha dado
- No he podido ponerme al día por trabajo, prioridades varias o motivos externos a mi persona
- Y que, hasta confirmación explícita de haber leído y entendido, no me doy por enterada/o de la información ofrecida en los mensajes y por tanto, tampoco confirmo o doy mi aprobación en caso de que se requiera validar una acción
NAUC stands for "Not Aware Until Confirmation".
This initiative is a response to a work or company dynamic in which email chains are produced with massive senders or too many people in copy, with the additional problem that it is taken for granted that all the people who are in that email are they have heard the message and they agree, which is a dangerous presumption.
There are many reasons not to take this for granted:
- People who are absent from work for various reasons (vacations, sick leave ...) and who have not yet been able to catch up
- Physical, emotional, or mental health issues
- Backlog or deadlines approaching
In any of the listed cases (but not limited to them), we launched the NAUC (Not Aware Until Confirmation) initiative to declare that:
- That I have not yet read all the information that has been included in the chain of messages
- That I can be in one or more of these situations:
- I am collecting information to refute or provide additional information to what has already been given
- I have not been able to catch up due to work, various priorities or reasons external to myself
- And that being said, until explicit confirmation of having read and understood, I am not aware of the information offered in the messages and therefore, I do not confirm or give my approval in case an action is required to be validated.
