I'm not (yet) very good at Solidity, but I have a very bad feeling in my stomach when I see code like this.

if (!_dao.transferFrom(msg.sender, this, balance) || !msg.sender.send(balance * totalWeiSupply / totalSupply)) throw;

Does this rely on shortcut evaluation? Can we guarantee what gets executed first?

Call me paranoid but if I have learned anything from past events it is being crystal clear about sequence of events and transaction boundaries. I don't mind paying a little more gas in exchange for peace of mind.

As I see, transferFrom() never returns false. It either returns true or throws. So that check is useless - if, of course, I'm looking at the right version (1.0.1).

(EDIT: I mean, transferFrom() could just as well be outside the conditional to clarify flow.)

I'm totally unfamiliar with TheDAO code, so and haven't checked other calls in a similar manner.

Other than that, I'd much prefer if this was handled in a proper git repo (not gist), so that improvements can be suggested and specific lines discussed.
