Well the first thing you have to do in order to create a checklist is sit down and come up with a gameplan. This will allow you extra time to decide exactly how you want something to play out. Once the checklist is completed it will help you not omit any steps and keep you on track.
I want to improve on my ability to dedicate myself to a task. I also am ready to see what emotional and professional development that i'm introduced to. I cant think of anything in particular I want to work on, but I am ready for growth.
My ability to adapt to unforseen situations or scenarios. Its something ive been forced to become good at though my personal and professional career.
I work best with when under instruction though visual and verbal counseling.
My greatest area of improvment that I feel is feeling comfortable asking for help. I much rather not be a burden and/or figure it out on my own.
I feel that software development has a very strucured overview to it. For instance having a strong gameplan heading into a project, however I also feel that like most things in life coding has a tendency to throw you a curveball. I think my ability to adapt will come in handy and hopefully help my team.
Understanding yourself and how you work is an essential building block to success. Any book about personal development will tell you that. Software development is no different in my opinion.
What efforts do you make to manage your learning process? Are these efforts successful? What challenges have inhibited your ability to manage your learning process effectively?
I try and understand that information is constantly changing, and that you have to always be open to learning something new. Typically I dont have any issues with managing my learning process.
Sierras keynote about cognitive resources brough to light how about I tend to load up my "B pile" by just consistantly loading up my plate with new intresting information. Coate's writing made me think about congadulating myself a little more about the small goals that I do accomplish.
What role does your emotional state of mind play in your learning? How do your successes and failures at learning affect your emotional state?
I can normally detach my emotional state. However I tend to get upset with failures, that frustrations tends to lead me into a frenzy of trying to find the answer. My wins normally do the same, but pump me up to go learn something else.
