What are each of our learning goals for this project? What drives us in this project?

Maxwell: Learn a new language, or get into the process of learning a new language. Ruby: Intergrate a bunch of cool technologies and implement them into a project. Also CI. Trond: Learn how to make a game with React. DeMarcus: Learn to make an API with a new language. Justin: Implement all the tools we have learned over the last 7+ months into a singular project.

What is your collaboration style? How do you feel about pair programming vs. divide-and-conquer approaches?

Maxwell: In-favor of divide and conquer, willing to pair if other team members need. Ruby: In-favor of divide and conquer, willing to pair if other team members need. Trond: In-favor of divide and conquer, willing to pair if other team members need. DeMarcus: In-favor of divide and conquer, willing to pair if other team members need. Justin: In-favor of divide and conquer, willing to pair if other team members need.

How do you communicate best? How do you appreciate receiving communication from others?

Maxwell: Straight forward. Communicate often and early. Ruby: Straight forward (just dont be mean about it) Trond: Staright forward. Be honest. DeMarcus: Open to criticism, actionable critisism. The why and how. Justin: No problem being open and honest, appreciate having quick communication vs dragging on.

How would you describe your work style?

Maxwell: Plug away at code for long periods of time Ruby: Methodical. Go and stop, prefer to think through code. CONSOLE LOGS! Trond: Get into a groove, but when hits a wall take a break to suss things out. DeMarcus: Music and vibe through the code. Poms often. Justin: Consistant. Enjoy set times to work, unless hit by a wall, then like to take a mental break.

What are each of our strengths? How can our strengths complement each other?

Maxwell: Plan ahead, knows what end goal needs to be, and steps to get there. Ruby: Great at working through logic. "Enligtenment" with code when things click. Trond: Great "role player" jack of all trades DeMarcus: Data-manipulation Justin: Organized. Enjoy actually jumping into work and learning.

What’s gone well or poorly in your previous projects?

Maxwell: When people dont know their roles, or a general lack of communication and respect between team members. Ruby: When im/team is not given enough time to think, or work through code at my/their pace. Trond: Snowballing, partners who dont let others take a part in the code base. DeMarcus: Jumping into code too early. Not enough planning. Justin: Lack of communication. Lack of enthusiasm or team dynamic.

How will we set direction and make decisions as a team?

Everyone: General communication, understanding this is a TEAM project and taking in others views respecfully.

How will we overcome obstacles?

Everyone: As a team, general communication. Considering out learning/work style, we need to be to knowing when we should ask for help. By not speaking up you will effectively be harming the team.

What do you need (resources, environment, communication) to do your best work?

Maxwell: Inter-webs Ruby: Time, music, plenty of snacks (not in that order) Trond: Mental breaks from code. DeMarcus: Not coding late into the night. Justin: Communication.

What scheduling restraints do you have? What are your scheduling preferences?

Maxwell: Morning person. Try not to be on late (8pm).
Ruby: Try not to code past 6pm. Open to communication until 8pm (roughly). No sundays. text chat vs slack voice. Trond: Not trying to code past 6pm. Still avail for communication outside of that time. DeMarcus: 7pm - 8 pm job search time. No coding. Justin: Late night (I hate mornings)

*NOTE: Try and work in mental breaks for team. Communication so we have coverage of the project.

What is your style for giving feedback? Does anything ever hold you back from giving feedback?

Maxwell: Actionable advice, as soon as possible. Ruby: Helpful, actionable. Trond: Actionable advice, as soon as possible. DeMarcus: Actionable advice, as soon as possible. Justin: Open book.

What do you identify as being your biggest strength(s) technically, as they relate to this project?

Maxwell: Have a foundational understanding of Python. Ruby: Have a background in game design. Trond: Able to pick up on concepts and patterns quickly DeMarcus: Having done FE and BE program, familiar with both sides of the code. Justin: Can work through problem and explain logical thought process to get there.
