Coventry City Council (Local) elections</h2><p>Coventry City Council is divided into <a href="http://www.coventry.gov.uk/ccm/navigation/council--government-and-democracy/councillors/">18
wards each with three Councillors</a>.
Councillors are elected by a simple
majority and serve for four years at a time. Elections
are held in three years out of four on the
first Thursday in May. </p>

at least every five years and can be called at any
time which the Government of the day chooses. Coventry has <a href="http://www.coventry.gov.uk/ccm/content/legal-%26-democratic-services-directorate/democratic-services/local-mps-and-meps--general-information-687.en">three
Parliamentary
Constituencies</a>, Coventry North East, Coventry North
West and Coventry South, each represented by one Member of Parliament
