4) Build Online Presence & Give back to the Infosec Community
- Write blogs and share whatever you have learned. It can be something basic as well which you recently learned, but you can explain it in simpler way.
- Write ctf writeups and contribute to the community.
- You can also make videos on YouTube if content creation interests you.
- Attend hacker conferences like Nullcon, Defcon, Bsides, give speeches and training.
- Share your work/projects on GitHub.
- If you have an online presence and have done something for the community, Recruiters will give you a lot of preference as it shows your genuine willingness to learn and share knowledge.
5) Build Trust & Respect
Avoid attacking random targets as it can land you in jail or legal issues if you are caught.

9) Don’t Fear Approaching Recruiters and Sending Your Resume
- You might notice that some companies have entry barriers like 3 years of experience, however if you have the knowledge and skills required, you can still approach the company and send your Resume.
- Don’t be afraid of the recruiters and send your resume to lots of them. There are many companies which choose you based on merit and skills.
- Instead of simply taking interviews, many some companies also give ctf like challenges in their own hosted environments and if you can find vulnerabilities or hack it, you will be selected.
