1.  System Requirements

To play Meridian 59 Insurrection, you must have 
(at least)
the following hardware and software:

Computer System: IBM PC Compatible
Operating System: Windows® 95 (required)
CPU: Pentium® 133Mhz or greater
Video Card: 1MB SVGA, DirectDraw
CD-ROM Drive: 2X minimum; 4X recommended
Memory: 16MB minimum; 32MB recommended
Hard Disk Space: 104MB minimum free space
Sound Card: 8 Bit DirectSound; 16-Bit recommended
Network: Modem or Direct Internet Connection (14.4 Kbps
or faster)*
Peripherals: Keyboard, Mouse



*Note: You must have an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
in order to play Meridian 59. Performance varies from
provider to provider.  If you do not have an ISP or 
wish to switch, you can install AT&T WorldNet from the
CD install screen.

Welcome to the all-new chapter 
of Meridian 59, the world's first 
next generation Internet-based RPG.  
Meridian 59 is a 3D world filled with 
fierce creatures, awesome magic, and spine 
tingling face-to-face encounters with 
thousands of other human adventurers.

3.  What's in Meridian 59
-----------------------------------------------

The world of Meridian 59 is a world in which you
can explore, adventure, and meet other players.

*  More than 200 areas including ancient 
   cities, sunlit forests, dark caverns and 
   mysterious temples. 
*  Dozens of fierce creatures to battle.
*  Six schools of magic and more than 130 
   magical spells and skills. 
*  Player created guilds with rank, 
   privileges, and private guild halls.
*  Meridian Assassin- a game of stealth and 
   skill within a game.
*  The Island City of Ko'catan.  Defend the
   settlement from the wild and magical Avar
   clans.
*  The Undead City of Brax.  Destroy the lich
   queen, or pledge a binding oath to her in
   return for the safety of her fortress.
*  A world that never stops changing, even 
   while you are away- the sun sets and 
   rises revealing new lands to explore 
   and new mysteries to solve!
*  An unfolding murder plot. Discover how the
   world of Meridian 59 is changing, and who is
   behind this ever-changing story line.
*  Interact with the game environment, other
   players, or participate in Bard-run events.

4.  Demos
-----------------------------------------------
Demos have been included for your entertainment.
They can be found automatically when the CD is 
placed in the CD drive and the Meridian 59 install
screen loads. You may find that some demos run
better when copied and run from your local hard drive.
