WP IT Goals for 2020

What would we like to get done if we had no other projects to work on?

  • AMTools move to Vue / Microservice architecture for entire profitability
  • AMTools split project/goal/profit tracker into individual projects
  • SATracker improve Hibernate responsiveness, update/improve JPA (Spring Data)
  • MOM move to Java 8, dependencies using Maven, running on Websphere Liberty or Tomcat
  • Create some type of service registry/discovery in Azure.
  • Look at a customer/user master that apps can share

How can we get value out of Data Foundations Project?

  • Get our apps into the cloud where the data is

Add/replace skills and tech stack that will add value

  • Cloud native skills. Microservice architecture. Pivotal has training for this.
  • Everyone should be getting comfortable with Java 8 Lambdas and functional programming.
  • Move to IntelliJ and learn new keybindings.
  • Every project move to Git and utilize Github.
  • Training for Vue.js. Also familiarize with ReactJS.
  • Slack or similar for team communication and app build notifications
