Hi Lee.

Thanks for the chat transcript. I reached out to our open source guys regarding how one apply for funding for open source projects. Here’s what he said:

we have a few options:

if it is just a small open source project/builder, and there is a strong aws/oss angle, we can give aws credits. If they need/want more, then currently we have two options: first is we have teamed up with github and are part of the github sponsors program so projects need to apply to that, Second is typically for much bigger oss projects/foundations where they apply using the aws promotional credits for open source projects. we are currently working on a new blog post to clarify this.

This site is ran by an open source tech evangelist at AWS, a good person to follow and to access for things like AWS credits:
