README for UserStudy

#INTRODUCTION Hey, thanks for taking an interest in this study. This README is targeted at those currently connected to the test environment, or those who have downloaded the MacroVis project from GitHub. It is available as a gist (for the convenience of those working remotely), and in the MacroVis repository.

Before you begin please read the information sheet in the ~/MacroVis/Infosheets directory - also note that by taking part in this study you consent to your survey answers being used in my Honours report (you are completely anonymous, I am not tracking anything).

This project is being supervised by Nick Cameron (nrc), we want to see if the new macro data I've added to Rust, and the tool I've built to use it, is better than Rust's default functionality (i.e. compiling with -Zallow-unstable-options pretty=expanded).

Rust User Study Introduction/Guide

If you're reading this then you're interested in participating in my user study, for fulfilment of requirements of my Honours - thanks! For my project I extended Rust to be able to export additional data about macro expansions, and I created a tool to show that data.

To participate, you just need to get a feel for the tool I created then do a short survey. There are two ways you can use my tool.

Firstly, you can remote into my test machine to conduct the study - there's a readme on the desktop, and available for your convenience online here: https://gist.github.com/DanielJCampbell/78cc9774762232c19118310bd56c45d2.
