Eneroth Reference Manager lets you handle components linked to external SketchUp models. This is useful for everything from increasing performance to collaboration.

Eneroth Reference Manager is designed to feel and act as a native part of SketchUp, which means you can start using it on an existing project made with native tools, or take up a project made with Eneroth Reference Manager without having the extension yourself, without any complications. Native drag-import is fully supported. No special setup is required!

By default the Reference Manager window closely resembles the reference list in LayOut (but with a more SketchUppy graphic style) but you can resize it for a view closer to the link panel in Adobe InDesign.

One major feature of Eneroth Reference Manager is bulk relink. Whenever you move your whole comportment file structure, e.g. when renaming a project or moving it between Mac and PC where the file paths differ, you can relink it as a whole in just one operation.

Activated from Extensions > Eneroth Reference Manager, its toolbar or the context menu.

Known Issues

Currently after undoing reloading a component, the path associated with the component is wrong. This is due to a limitation in how the SketchUp API handles loading of components. The current behavior is a trade of for plugging into SketchUp's own component linking system, which is required for the extension to be seamlessly integrated to SketchUp. This issue can hopefully be resolved in a future SU version by an update in the API.
