Hey guys, wanted to establish some guidelines so that this is no longer solely bots in the chat.
- Bots may not send more messages than are directed to them. In the case of notifications, ie: twitter watching, github updates:
- updates must not advertise a certain product, service, brand, or idea
- updates must be less frequent than one per minute per topic
- updates must not monitor more than 10 topics
- Bots must have a unique prefix. Prefix "#" is reserved.
- Bots may not store or gather information from the chat. An exception for this is getting usernames for responses or linking to another chat system (ie: Slack for Steve's bot) so long as no logs are accessable by non-members.
- Bots should have the name of the owner in their full name and should accept contact requests from creator or master.
Any bot that is found violating any of these rules will be banned after a warning.
Thanks!
- Twister/Joey
