Rapid Protoyping Javascript and Hardware

Introduction

Shortly after Christmas, the mail arrived with an Espruino inside. My Christmas present to myself all wrapped up in an oversized box and excessive packaging. If you were to ask me why it was difficult for me to wait a week to receive my gift, it's because of JavaScript.

You see, in the world of microcontrollers, C#, C++, and even Java dominate. Never have I ever heard someone at the Hackaday Superconference refer to their embedded system project running because of Javascript. In fact, ever mentioning JS there would get you branded via a heated soldering iron.

On Instagram, I follow @brendandawes. He lives out in the UK and from his IG, is an "artist working with digital and analogue materials." He periodically posts what he uses for his projects, including the one that got me all antsy waiting for the mail arrive. JS + embedded systems? Yes, please!

### Read Through Your Theme Definitions
1. What words or phrases stick out to you? How would you define each of your top 5 talents in your own words?
" You do not necessarily shy away from meeting new people—in fact,
you may have other themes that cause you to enjoy the thrill of turning strangers into friends." This resonates with me deeply, as I tend to have many friends, but also a set close to me who I spwnd the most time with.

###17. Pair program with people with more experience. I did this recently with a friend and really enjoyed hearing the process of him coding a game. I watched him get stuck and talk through his process of working it out through using google and other means. At first I was wondering how helpful all this would be, but afterwards, I realized that building a program is more than knowing how to write code. There is constant problem solving.

###27. Go play foosball. That's often more important than coding. This resonates with me because when I first started working in the live entertainment industry, I felt I needed to work myself in to the ground. Climbing helped me become aware of my boundaries to the extent that I know when I am fatigued because I made mistakes. Nothing wakes you up more than falling from missing a hold. Translating that to work, has helped me tremendously by allowing myself to break when I need it.

###28. Learn under pressure. Is it possible to love pressure? There are two types for me, one
