Notable differences

  • The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is the only SoC without a Cortex X-series core
  • The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 gets a 64-bit memory bus, doubling memory bandwidth, as the first 7 series SoC.
  • The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 only has a 12-bit ISP (compared to 18-bit). Earlier 7 series often had 14-bit ISPs.
  • The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 doesn't record 8K or 4K120 video, a clear step down from other 8 series SoCs.
  • AV1 Decoding is not present on Snapdragon 7 series SoCs.
  • The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is the only one without Triple frequency GNSS (is misses the L2 band).
