**Intro: Keeping connected with your Kids
Time is limited.
Especially once you start Turing!
It is important to find RnR time for yourself
It is also important to keep connected with your kids!
make 'ME' time into family time and still feel sane
**My strategy: Boardgames!
The sacrifices e.g. Candyland (the Gateway dru... boardgame)
Encourage progressing quickly to the harder stuff, more complex thinking during the game
point out downsides, introduce more freedom/complexity with...
Rat-a-Tat-Cat, Uno, Checkers, try to avoid Monopoly where time invested is not effecient!
Increase logic chess, and coop Forbidden island.
Go to places where you can explore new games for free (game cafe's etc)
Santa Claus now helps feed their new addictions!
Now King of Tokyo, Thunderstone, Decent, Sheriff of Notingham
Combing games with other fun things (parties) = Werewolves of Miller's Hollow! Apples to Apples!
Cards against Humanity = STILL NOT OKAY!
**Summary:
I have done similar things with enjoying the same books, (percy Jackson)
writing our own book (Blackheart), playing League of Legends (not within the toxic community)
Outdoor activites (Tennis). It isn't the actual activity that matters.
**Take away:
The point is to inject yourself into their lives and help get them to
a place where what they like to do to unwind and relax is just the thing that you like
doing!
