Project Reflection

  • What is one thing that went unusually well during this project?

    • I really appriciated that we worked in a collaborative manner. I felt like the voices of the individuals were really listened to. We didn't always know what to do next, but there was the genuine feeling of care for others as we tried to figure out difficult problems.

  • In hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently?

    • I would have been a larger contributor. I did some of the things, but I don't feel like I pulled an appropriate amount. I think that a way to draw a better picture of the problem, broken down into steps BEFORE I start coding. Thinking about the lecture that Jeff gave about how much time is spent NOT typing and the importance of this step would be something that I would try and apply in the next project that I work.

  • Given these reflection questions, what specific, actionable steps will you take moving into your upcoming group project to continue your growth with working in technical teams?

    • I will strive to have more knowledge and use a stronger voice. I sometimes am unconfident and have poor self-talk, which then makes me a harder person to work with. I will strive to more the needle on that.

  • If you were working with this partner again, what is something that you would want to focus on improving as a team?

    • hmmm... tricky. I really liked working with you! I think that if you and I were working together that we would again have a good time. Perhaps we would find ourselves chatting about life and working on the project at hand.... which isn't a bad thing. I feel like the energy that you bring with you is really positive and is contagious!!

  • What strengths did your partner bring to the project?

    • Organization! You really helped in the set up of the Projects tab. That clear setup allowed for a great pattern to continue throughout the project.
    • Insightful Questions! You had really good questions that really helped the process!
    • Great Ah- Has! Through your questions, you had some really good and helpful breakthroughs!!
    • Hard-working Spirit! You were willing to put in the time!!

  • What is something they could do better?

    • Ask for help! We are on your team (even when I'm not 'on your team') If there is a thing that I've learned is that this whole thing works better for everyone when we do it in a collabortive manner.
