Salty Orange

DIY version of the ZeroLyte Salty Orange electrolyte mix

image

Mix

  • 2.5 grams of Sodium Chloride (NaCl)
  • 0.4 grams of Magnesium Malate (Mg)
  • 0.4 grams of Potassium Citrate (KCl)
  • 1 packet of "True Orange" - flavor!

Recipe Notes

  • Sodium Chloride (NaCl) is just plain, fine ground table salt without iodine
  • Potassium citrate was used instead of potassium chloride because citrate is "saltier" which goes well with the salty orange vibes
  • Magnesium Malate was used as it is apparently the kinder of the Magnesium family on the GI system
  • "True Orange" can be swapped out easily with its lemon, lime, grapefruit, etc counter-parts
  • The 2.5 grams of Sodium Chloride (NaCl) should balance out to:
    • 1.5 grams of chloride (Cl)
    • 1.0 grams of sodium (Na)
