Server Feedback
I tested the server setup with a friend .
To host a game was pretty easy...just like creating a normal singleplayer world. The option to host was also easily accessible.
There were no problems in setting upa a server.
But there were some problems with the game experience:
-> Terasology is already laggy and hosting a game in multiplayer would make it even more laggy. An optimization is required.
-> I suggest the game to be more optimized, this will improve the game experience hugely.
-> A player will have a hand...but how is it possible when the player is a monkey face? :)
-> Also, a problem related to the earlier one, if I have a torch or any other block in my hand...he other player cannot see it.
-> And I also noticed that there was a time difference in what one character was seeing and what the other was.
-> There was slight difficulty in setting up a static IP for my server, but a software helped me get that done easily.
-> The process of setting up a server would be much easier if the wiki for setting up a server included how we could make a static IP for the server so our friend can join. This would also help in making it easier for players to play together accross vast areas instead of a LAN game.
There was no problems in joining and creating the server.
everything else worked fine.
There were other great issues with the character name tests,I will write about thenmin the issues section.
The screenshots to the above problems are shown below.
